The Parties shall cooperate within this Agreement in, but not limited to, the following:

Fundamental and applied research and development activities in the fields of peaceful uses of atomic energy;

Design, construction, operation and modification of nuclear power and research reactors, desalination systems and accelerators;

Nuclear fuel cycle, inter alia exploration and exploitation of ore deposits, radioactive waste management;

Development, design and production of materials and components, including nuclear materials to be used in nuclear power and research reactors and their nuclear fuel cycles;

Joint development of innovative future reactor technologies and in particular the following issues: non-proliferation, safety, ecological soundness and economic efficiency;

Nuclear safety;

Radiation and environmental protection;

Nuclear and radioactive materials control, account and physical protection;

Production and application of radioisotopes;

Radiation technology and its application;

Plasma physics;

Research, development and application of laser technologies; and,

Non-destructive testing methods.
