Article 8

1. For reasons of national security, protection of public order or public health or in order to prevent illegal immigration, either Party may suspend the application of this Agreement in whole or in part. The other Party shall be notified about the decision through diplomatic channels no later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to it becoming effective.

2. The Party which decided to suspend the application of this Agreement by the reasons specified in paragraph 1 of this Article shall immediately inform the other Party through diplomatic channels about the renewal of this Agreement once the reasons for suspension no longer exist.
