AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF PALAU ON THE MUTUAL WAIVER OF VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONALS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION AND NATIONALS OF THE REPUBLIC OF PALAU

The Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Palau, hereinafter referred to as the Parties,

Guided by the desire to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Palau,

Willing to ease the travel requirements for nationals of the Russian Federation and nationals of the Republic of Palau,

Have agreed as follows:

1. Nationals of the Russian Federation holding travel documents and unable to leave the territory of the Republic of Palau within the period specified in Paragraph 1 of Article 2 of this Agreement due to reasons of force majeure, given documentary or any other reliable proof of such reasons, may be permitted, upon application to the competent authorities of the Republic of Palau, to stay in the territory of the Republic of Palau for a period necessary for their return to the Russian Federation. Such an extension of stay shall be granted free of charge.

2. Nationals of the Republic of Palau holding travel documents and unable to leave the territory of the Russian Federation within the period specified in Paragraph 2 of Article 2 of this Agreement due to reasons of force majeure, given documentary or any other reliable proof of such reasons, may be permitted, upon application to the competent authorities of the Russian Federation, to stay in the territory of the Russian Federation for a period necessary for their return to the Republic of Palau. Such an extension of stay shall be granted free of charge.

Done at New York on 28 September 2018, in two copies, each in the Russian and English languages, both texts being equally authentic.
