The Russian Federation shall exempt OAO Gazprom and OOO Gazexport in respect of activities directly related to the supplies of Russian natural gas, transported through the Trunk Gas Pipeline under the Agreement, from road fund taxes and fees for a period until the investment has been fully recouped, but no longer than until 31 December, 2015 inclusive as well as from the value-added tax and export customs duties on natural gas.

Excise taxes on all Russian natural gas exported under the Agreement, shall be paid by OAO Gazprom during the period until the investment has been fully recouped, but no longer than until 31 December, 2015 inclusive at the rate of 2 (two) US dollars per 1000 cubic meters of natural gas when the actual price for the gas sold in the city of Samsun does not exceed 65 US dollars per 1000 cubic meters, and at the rate of 2 (two) US dollars plus 30 per cent of the difference between the actual price for the gas sold and the price of 65 US dollars per 1000 cubic meters, when the actual price for the gas sold in the city of Samsun exceeds the above level. Upon expiration of the said period, excise taxes shall be paid in accordance with the generally established procedure.
