Article 4 Transfer of the sentenced persons

1. The transfer of a sentenced person may be carried out at the request of the sentencing State or the administering State.

2. The sentencing State shall inform every sentenced person to whom this Convention may apply about the provisions of this Convention.

3. The sentenced person or his representative shall have the right to apply to the Central Authority of either Contracting Party for his transfer.

The person that applied for the transfer shall be immediately informed in writing about the decision taken by the Competent Authorities of the Contracting Parties.
