Article 1

1. Nationals of the Russian Federation holding valid passports giving the right to cross the border, including diplomatic and service passports (hereinafter referred to as "passports of the Russian Federation"), may enter, leave, pass through or stay in the territory of the Republic of Suriname without obtaining a visa for not more than 90 calendar days.

Nationals of the Republic of Suriname holding valid diplomatic, service and national passports (hereinafter referred to as "passports of the Republic of Suriname"), may enter, leave, pass through or stay in the territory of the Russian Federation without obtaining a visa for not more than 90 calendar days per each period of 180 days, starting from the date of the first entry.

2. Nationals of the State of one Party who intend to stay or reside in the territory of the State of the other Party for a period exceeding 90 days, or to take up employment or to engage in business activities in its territory shall obtain a visa at a diplomatic mission or consular post of the State of the other Party in accordance with the legislation of the receiving State.
